Ulyukayev has accused the FSB of provocation
MOSCOW, 16 Aug — RIA Novosti. Former Minister of economic development of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev said in court that of the FSB and personally the head of “Rosneft” Igor Sechin organized against him a provocation with the transfer of money.
“The FSB a few weeks preparing, waiting for me to come, but I didn’t come… Not waiting until I come to get money, Sechin called me personally and persuaded to come,” Ulyukayev described the events preceding the episode with the transfer of $ 2 million in the office of “Rosneft”.
“The FSB staged to me a provocation of a bribe on the basis of false testimony (the head of “Rosneft” Igor) Sechin and (former Vice-President and head of the security service of the company Oleg) Feoktistov,” — said Ulyukayev in court.
In March, Novaya Gazeta reported, citing two sources, that before the arrival of Rosneft Feoktistov served as a Deputy head of management of own safety of FSB, which was engaged in many high-profile cases, including against former governors Belykh, Alexander Khoroshavin and former head of the anticorruption Central Directorate of interior Ministry General Denis Sugrobova. Also the newspaper called Feoktistov “organized the arrest of speaker”.
The speaker is not guilty, he faces up to 15 years in prison. He became the first in the modern history of Russia, the Federal Minister arrested for corruption.
