Ivanovo girl on the court had received a blood transfusion contrary to the requirement of the father

Leninsky district court of Ivanovo gave permission for a blood transfusion a twelve year old girl contrary to the prohibition of the father of the child. This was reported on the website of the regional Prosecutor’s office. On 12 January the Ivanovo regional clinical hospital received a patient that was diagnosed with “anemia of uncertain origin”. The doctors decided for urgent transfusion of her blood, but the girl’s father refused this procedure because of religious beliefs. After that, the doctors turned to the Prosecutor.
