According to surveys by the all-Russia centre of studying of public places (VTSIOM), Russians for the second consecutive year cut spending on fees of the children to the new school year. This is stated on the website of the center on Wednesday, August 30.
The sum of average costs in 2017 amounted to 12.7 thousand rubles, last year — 14.8 per thousand, and in 2015 — 20 thousand rubles.
“Cost reduction is observed across all list positions except for clothes and shoes”, — stated in the conclusion of sociologists. Purchase forms, “smenka” and sportswear, according to tradition, is the most expensive part: the average, all this cost parents 500 rubles more than last year.
Most notable for sociologists was the savings on premiums. “By agreement with the administration of the school in the past year the average was given 1 214 rubles (per child) in the current – 649 rubles, initiative sponsorship fees decreased from 716 to 310 rubles,” added in the poll.
According to a leading expert-consultation centre Oleg Chernozub recorded by the study, the trend suggests that the “public policy of improving logistics schools is beginning to bear visible fruit.”
