The Central election Commission of the Republic of Karelia has completed the registration of candidates on elections of the head region. For the post of the Supreme official of the Republic claimed seven people, reports TASS on Friday, August 4.
“All CEC registered seven candidates,” — said the representative of the regional electoral Commission Darya Golitsyn.
Among the registered are: acting head of Karelia Arthur Parfenchikov (United Russia), Evgeny Ulyanov (KPRF), Nikolai Tarakanov (“homeland”), Irina Petelava (“Fair Russia”), Eugene the besední (LDPR), Elena Gnetova (Batch growth) and Olga Illkova (“Patriots of Russia”).
To overcome the so-called municipal filter, applicants needed to submit at least 88 signatures, of which 24 must belong to the deputies or heads of areas and city districts.
Nominated by a political party “People against corruption” Igor Alpeeva who fails to provide to the Commission the necessary documents were denied registration, said the representative of the Commission.
On 15 February President of Russia Vladimir Putin has accepted the resignation of Alexander khudilainen with the post of the head of Karelia and appointed acting head of the region Artur Parfenchikov, who previously headed the Federal bailiff service.
Elections of the head of Karelia will pass in the uniform voting day on September 10.
