The leader of the group “Zero” announced the cancellation of concerts in Russia
The leader of the group “Zero” Fedor Chistyakov, earlier declared moving to the United States, announced the cancellation of concerts in Russia. As explained by the musician on his website, the recent limitation of activities of U.S. consulates in Russia puts “under very big question” getting them visas to return to the United States.
In addition, Fedor Chistyakov expressed concern about the arrest of Kirill Serebrennikov: the musician is convinced that the case against the Director, accused of organizing the embezzlement of budget funds, is “clearly punitive in nature.”
Fedor Chistyakov explained that he was “determined” to go to Russia because of commitments in front of their fans and to the promoters. However, the upcoming tour, according to the musician, gave him “an uncomfortable feeling that as if you go to the house in which burns a fire, and you don’t know, you come out alive or not.”
“In the end, I elementary fear. I am in the risk category. There are objective reasons. Being on the opposite side of the globe, I feel the stress of not sleeping at night, and can’t work during the day because worried about an upcoming tour in “hell”. One wonders, and how much of it is necessary?” — wrote Fyodor Chistyakov.
In the beginning of the month, the musician announced that he was going to live in the US, but will retain Russian citizenship. The head of group “the Zero” said that he had taken the decision after the recognition in Russia of the extremist organization “Jehovah’s Witnesses”, in which he has more than 20 years.
