Media reported that North Korea can make rocket engines

MOSCOW, 15 Aug — RIA Novosti. The DPRK itself is capable of producing rocket engines and not depend on foreign supplies, reports Reuters with reference to representatives of American intelligence.

“We have intelligence reports that suggest that North Korea depends on the import of engines. On the contrary, we believe that they have the ability to produce engines,” — said one of the officials.

Previously, the newspaper the New York Times, citing classified intelligence assessment of the US intelligence and research of the expert of the analytical center IISS Michael Alleman reported that the DPRK could through the black market to obtain for its ballistic missiles engines, produced at the Ukrainian enterprise “Yuzhmash”.

The Secretary of Council of national security and defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov said that the Ukrainian military-industrial complex did not supply weapons and military technology to North Korea. Yuzhmash also said that has no relation to the missile programs of the DPRK. In turn, the IISS said Ellemann not talked about the transfer of technology “Yuzhmash” to Pyongyang. General designer of design Bureau “southern” Alexander Degtyarev assumes that any country failed to copy Ukrainian rocket engine that produces enterprise “Yuzhmash”.

Earlier, Russia and China offered the DPRK to declare a moratorium on nuclear tests and missile launches, and South Korea and the United States to refrain from conducting exercises in the region to stabilize the situation on the Peninsula, but in Washington, this initiative was ignored.
