Media reported about an armed takeover of a hotel in the centre of Riga

RIGA, Aug 9 — RIA Novosti. Unknown armed men took over the hotel Garden Palace in the Old town, local media reported.

As transfers radio Baltkom with reference to the representative of the State police Samantha Chapkovsky, a group of people broke into the hotel in the night of Wednesday because of the conflict of the owner and a guest.

As told the online edition of the NRA the Chairman of the Board of the institution Uldis Skudra, unknown was armed. They went into the room, kicked one of the female guests on the street, by force took away her documents and phone so she couldn’t call the police. Law enforcement officers called the owners of the hotel.

The owners say that the building are still armed men, and they are not allowed inside.

The hotel is currently paralyzed, there is a lot of people in camouflage.

The police has not yet reported details of the incident.
