MOSCOW, Aug 5 — RIA Novosti. U.S. statement on withdrawal from the Paris agreement on climate change is another political gaffe of the administration of Donald trump, told RIA Novosti on Saturday, head of the international Committee of the Federation Council of Russia Konstantin Kosachev.
The United States on Friday officially notified the UN of its intention to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement in accordance with laid down in this terms and conditions. However, the Paris agreement is a very bad way to do this, believes Kosachev. The agreement will enter into force only in 2021, had not yet developed the mechanism for its implementation. And anyway, the United States itself is one of the most ecologically advanced countries in the world where we keep working on the technologies for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, said the Senator.
