More than seven thousand candidates were registered on the capital’s municipal elections

Over 7.6 thousand candidates registered for elections to the municipal councils of deputies in Moscow. This was announced by the Chairman of the Moscow city election Commission Valentin Gorbunov, reports TASS on Monday, August 7th.

“Moved 8329 candidates, with the variation for the municipalities is quite large. The smallest number — 32, and in some areas more than 130 candidates,” he said.

Gorbunov said that 6497 were 32 parties, 1832 more person participate in elections as independent candidates.

In the single voting day, September 10, in the capital the elections of the councils of deputies of the 125 districts. In total following the results of voting will be replaced about one and a half thousand mandates.

Just this day throughout the country held more than 5.8 thousand elections and referendums at different levels. The vote will be conducted only in three regions: Ingushetia, Magadan oblast and Saint-Petersburg. September 10 will operate an Internet portal, which will present visual and textual information about the voting process.
