Russian President Vladimir Putin’s greeting to participants and guests of the XIX world Congress of Russian press emphasized the special responsibility of mass media for an honest and unbiased reflection of what is happening on the planet events. This was reported on the Kremlin website.
“I greet you on the occasion of the opening of the XIX world Congress of Russian press… In the current forum, which is held on the hospitable Belarusian land, you will be able to meet again with colleagues and friends, to share experience of journalistic work, discuss topical professional issues. And of course, you understand a huge amount of educational, unifying, educational potential of the media, their particular responsibility for the fair and unbiased reflection of what is happening on the planet events”, — is spoken in the telegram.
Putin noted that for many years the world Association of Russian press brings together the heads of publications and Russians abroad.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Congress will be held in the creative, business key, will launch new, meaningful, demand-driven projects, and will promote the strengthening of international humanitarian cooperation.
