The academic Council of Belgorod University has not found any violations in obtaining Medina extent
The Council considered not the thesis and the statement about the withdrawal of the Minister of culture for a degree.
Moscow. July 7. INTERFAX.RU — Dissertation Council on the history of Belgorod state University (NRU “BelSU”) announced the draft resolution on the doctoral dissertation of the Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky, reported the correspondent of “Interfax” from the meeting.
Stresses that the consideration of the academic Council is not the thesis of Medina, namely the statement about the revocation of his degree.
The thesis of Vladimir Medinsky meets the requirements, (…) formal irregularities in obtaining a doctoral degree the author is not.
It is also noted that “the findings of the applicants cannot be formally accepted, (…) confirmed that the dissertation was completed by the author independently. The arguments of the applicants about plagiarism in the thesis do not correspond to reality”.
The direction of the applicant on the academic Council is one of the founders network community “Discerned” Andrew Sakin.
The Medina itself was not able to attend the meeting of the dissertation Council, as flew to China at the annual meeting of culture Ministers of the BRICS countries. However, the Minister sent to Belgorod their official representatives who have to act at the meeting.
A doctorate in the history of Medina challenged in the community “Discerned” — it found that the thesis of the Minister on the theme “Problems of objectivity in the coverage of Russian history in the second half of the XV—XVII centuries” has no scientific value, and when the defense was flawed.
In essence, the thesis of the head of the Ministry of culture is still not considered.
