MOSCOW, 7 July. /TASS/. The election of the President of the musical festival “Invasion” began on Friday, the preliminary voting results will be announced on Friday evening and Saturday, and on Sunday the winner will be announced by the Chairman of the CEC of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova. This was reported by TASS Director of the festival Sergey Gorbachev.
According to him, “the first festival precinct” voting opened at 12:00 GMT in a special tent.
“People from nine in the morning came to me and asked how to vote. When I open the site, there was a small queue,” he said.
Gorbachev said that on Friday and Saturday from 20:00 the organizers will count the votes, and 23:00 will be the stage to announce the preliminary voting results. In addition, around 22:00 will be held briefing for journalists.

The election of the President of the “Invasion” was carried out in three stages. From 21 to 25 June, everyone could nominate any musician among the speakers at the “Invasion” through a special form on the website “Our radio”. From 26 June to 2 July was held the pre-selection (primaries), when you could vote for any candidate. According to the preliminary results of the vote were selected 10 candidates with the highest number of votes, and their names entered on the ballot.
For the post of President of “Invasion” in the end, fighting the former leader of group “Semantic hallucinations” Sergey Bobunets, Vyacheslav Butusov (“Nautilus Pompilius” and “Yu-Piter”), Konstantin Kinchev (“Alisa”), Valery Kipelov (Aria), Elijah (Damn) Knabengof (“Pilot”), Konstantin Kolesov (“Animation”), Natalie O’shea (Helavisa, the “Mill”), Zemfira, Gleb Samoilov (The Matrixx, the former leader of the “Agatha Christie”), Garik Sukachev, Yuri Shevchuk (DDT), Edmund shklyarskiy (“picnic”), Sergei Shnurov (Leningrad).
In addition, among the presidential candidates, the rock festival turned out to be pop singer Filipp Kirkorov — he was nominated by fans and former singer of the group “on-On” Vladimir Levkin, participating in elections as the independent candidate.
Festival of rock music “Invasion” opened on Friday in the village of Great Zavidovo in the Tver region. It will end on Sunday 9 June.
