Foreign Minister of Germany, Sigmar Gabriel said he expected from the meeting of the President of Russia and the USA at the summit “Big twenty” restart processes of detente and disarmament.
“We need a long-awaited restart of détente and disarmament”, — said the Minister in an interview with the media group Funke.
He stated that he expects “concrete arrangements (two leaders) for the future cooperation” — in the first place on the Syrian settlement, in resolving the conflict in Ukraine and the negotiations on disarmament and arms control. “It is impossible to remove them from this responsibility”, — said the German Minister.
The meeting of Vladimir Putin and Donald trump scheduled to begin on 7 July on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Hamburg.
