According to the chief of public security Department of the internal Affairs of Irkutsk Vasily Alexeev, one workshop was discovered on the territory of the former dairy factory in the town of Shelekhov. In the workshops was the capacity with concentrate “Hawthorn” and similar products “Vitasept” and “Clean”. Do their part of the methanol will be established following a laboratory examination. On 20 December a state of emergency was extended to the territory of the whole Irkutsk region, said the Governor of the region Sergey Levchenko. About it reports “Interfax”. A day earlier, the state of emergency began operating in Irkutsk. Authorities have banned the sale of “Hawthorn” and all non-food alcohol-containing products.

According to the latest data, the number who died after the use of concentrate has reached 54 people. In hospitals remains 28 poisoned, 13 of them are in intensive care.
