100 years ago in the city of Novozybkov (now the Bryansk region), a man was born who was destined to create some of the most amazing machines on Earth — wig, combining features of aircraft and spacecraft.
Rostislav Evgenievich Alekseev was born in 1916 in the family of agronomist and teacher. In 1933, the Alexeyev family moved to Gorky, where Rostislav went to study at the Gorky evening technical school, simultaneously working part-time as a draftsman and artist. In those same years, he began sailing.
