Abe said that he had discussed with Putin the peace Treaty



Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has said that he discussed at the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin several bilateral issues, including the peace Treaty and the joint economic activities on southern Kuriles.

“We had a direct discussion on issues of free visits (southern Kuriles) by former residents of the Islands, joint economic activities in the framework of the special system on the four Islands, and also on the peace Treaty,” he said during a press conference for journalists in the city of Nagato, which was broadcast live on local television.
