Pope Francis urged to reform the Catholic Church

According to the Pontiff, the Roman Catholic Church “needs correction”.

VATICAN city, August 27. Pope Francis reiterated the need to reform headed by the Roman Catholic Church.

Turning from the window of the Apostolic Palace with a traditional Sunday prayer of the Angelus to the pilgrims and tourists on St. Peter, the Pontiff, in particular, said: “the Church continues to need reform to correct”.

It is noted that security measures on the square were very strict. We will remind, on Saturday, reports emerged that drones allegedly violated the airspace of the Vatican, which is considered a no-fly zone. In addition, the terrorist organization “Islamic state” (IG banned in Russia) recently circulated on the channels online video threats against the Pope.

During the Sunday sermon, the Pontiff also prayed for spiritual support for victims of natural disasters — heavy rains and floods in South Asia in India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
