Media: North Korea has hired former KGB agents to protect Kim Jong-UN

MOSCOW, Aug 25 — RIA Novosti. North Korea has hired former members of the Soviet Committee for state security (KGB) as the military advisers to aid in the protection of the country’s leader, Kim Jong-UN, the newspaper Asahi Shimbun, citing sources familiar with the situation in the DPRK.

According to the newspaper, about ten former employees of the KGB, who previously worked in the Department for the fight against terrorists, was invited to Pyongyang in February. They were asked to train personal bodyguards, Kim Jong-UN to share its experience in the field of prevention of terrorist attacks, resistance to the actions of terrorists and counter spies.

According to the source, officials of the DPRK was particularly interested in the protection of the country’s leader against attacks from the United States using the most modern American weapons.
