American mayor of Seattle has officially requested the dismantling of the monument to Vladimir Lenin and the memorial to the armies of the Confederacy, reports Mynorthwest.
“In the last few days, Seattle residents have expressed concern and frustration due to symbols of hatred, racism and violence in our city,” he said about the monuments.
The head of Seattle stressed that the monuments should be removed despite the fact that they are on private land.
