The Ministry of emergency situations of the Russian Federation said that Russia recognized as “one of the world leaders in the field of humanitarian assistance and grant assistance”.
As explained in the Department, on the occasion of world humanitarian day, established by the UN since 1993, has conducted more than 430 humanitarian operations abroad. This year the number of such operations increased by 130.
“The geography of Russian humanitarian aid covers about 140 countries affected by emergencies and natural disasters and military conflicts,” — said TASS in the press service of the Ministry.
Also in the MOE stressed that all activities are carries out in coordination with the Russian Ministry of foreign Affairs and other public authorities. “Effectively addressing the challenges for humanitarian response abroad provides reliable support foreign policy of the Russian Federation”, — said the Agency.
