For the purchase of antiviral drugs for HIV-infected persons will be allocated four billion rubles from the budget. This was told Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, reports TASS.
The Prime Minister noted that the allocated funds will allow to cover the demand in these products until the end of the year. “Four billion is directed for the procurement of antiviral medicines for HIV, including, in combination with hepatitis B and C. This will help to cover the need for these drugs this year,” — said Medvedev.
Only the purchase of drugs for HIV-infected people this year will spend 21.6 billion rubles. Initially for these purposes it was planned to allocate 17.6 billion.
In late July, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova listed regions, became leaders in the spread of HIV. The three leaders in the number of infections went Kemerovo, Novosibirsk and Irkutsk.
In November 2016, the Minister of health Veronika Skvortsova reported critical level of disease in 10 Russian regions.
