In Vladivostok, near the school of the Olympic reserve there was a spill of mercury. This was reported on the website of the Primorsky territory administration.
The incident took place in the night of Thursday, August 17. “According to preliminary information, the unknown person was carrying a bag with a dangerous metal from which emerged the mercury. The estimated area of contamination of about 300 square meters in the Parking lot near the sports school”, — noted in the regional Agency for civil defense and emergencies.
The place of the accident put a cordon, carried out the collection and mercury analysis of soil.
In July in Ekaterinburg the court has fined on 20 thousand roubles of a local resident who was trying to sell 30 kilograms of mercury. The man was convicted under the article 234 of the criminal code of Russian Federation (“Illegal circulation of strong or poisonous substances for the purpose of sale”).
