The official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova called false allegations of Russian interference in the internal Affairs of Macedonia, according to the website of the Russian Ministry.
“We urge Bloomberg to publish the full text or audio/video record an interview with [defense Minister of Macedonia] Radmila Sekerinska” she said.
Zakharov stressed that the accusations against Russia of interference in the internal Affairs of Macedonia “is completely far-fetched and are based only on the allegations of Russophobia, as well as organize their information stuffing”.
“We hope to clarify the Macedonian side about the authenticity of statements attributed to Sekerinski, still not refuted, and even duplicated on the website of the Ministry of defense of Macedonia”, — said the representative of the Russian Ministry.
In her opinion, these insinuations — “the attempts of the enemies of Russia and Macedonia to complicate the traditionally friendly relations” between Moscow and Skopje with the aim to bring Macedonia in NATO.
Bloomberg August 8 published an article in which including quoted Minister of defense of Macedonia Radmila Sekerinska. It contains quotes from interview with head of Department.
She says that Macedonia has no data about attempts of Russian influence on the political processes in the country and that “these attempts will come to an end” in the case of membership of Macedonia in NATO.
