Media: Russia gave Kazakhstan a lake near Novosibirsk

A small lake in Sweet Kupinsky district of Novosibirsk region transferred from Russia to Kazakhstan, RIA “Novosti” with reference to regional management of FSB. The transfer happened as a result of the demarcation of the border.

As stated by the representative of the regional Border Department of the FSB, the border as a result of the territorial revision of the guidelines lies on the Eastern shore of the lake.

It is noted that the demarcation of the border with Kazakhstan, which began in 2005 with the delimitation in this area was conducted for the first time.

According to the representative of the FSB, citizens the news of the postponement of the border reacted calmly.

“None of the local residents are not outraged. Held gatherings of citizens, and warned everyone,” he added.
