The Russian President’s special envoy on the Middle East and Africa, Deputy foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, on Friday met with the Ambassador of Qatar in Moscow Fahad al Attiyah, said the Russian foreign Ministry.
“In the ensuing conversation touched on several practical issues in the further buildup of Russian-Qatari cooperation, and current middle East issues” , — said the foreign Ministry.
The meeting was held at the initiative of the Qatari side.
Earlier in an interview with RIA Novosti news Agency al-Attiya said that the crisis in the Persian Gulf will affect the economic cooperation between Qatar and Russia: Moscow will become one of the main partners of Doha, which is under blockade moving towards a more flexible and diversified economy.
