Sverdlovsk authorities will give Belarus a monument to the leader of the ensemble “Pesnyary” Vladimir Mulyavin. Temporarily the acting head of the region Evgeny Kuyvashev on Wednesday, August 16, will visit the Republic to take part in the opening of the monument, according to Ura.ru.
The event was devoted to the 950th anniversary of Minsk. In addition, the Kuyvashev will meet with representatives of the Belarusian government.
According to the publication, the main purpose of the gift is the development of bilateral cooperation between the Sverdlovsk region and the Republic.
The process of creating a monument to the Ural artist has curated a specially created Kuyvashev, the Committee, headed by Vice-Governor Pavel Krekov and the head of the Sverdlovsk Ministry of culture Svetlana Uchaikina.
In 2014 in the center of Yekaterinburg on the initiative of the Belarusian government was installed the same monument to Mulyavin.
A native of Sverdlovsk (now — Ekaterinburg), artistic Director of the legendary ensemble “Pesniary” died 26 Jan 2003 in Moscow, in the Department of neurosurgery of the Burdenko hospital, where he was transported from Belarus to continue treatment. In may of 2002 Mulyavin was in a car accident.
