The President of the United States Donald trump signed a law on new anti-Russian sanctions. On Wednesday, August 2, a spokesman for the White house, reports Bloomberg.
27 July the us Senate passed a bill to expand restrictive measures against Russia, Iran and North Korea. The document was approved by 98 MPs, two opposed.
The new law provides, inter alia, reducing to two weeks the maximum period of funding of banks, which are under sanctions, and 30 days — for oil and gas companies.
Besides, the American leader, according to the document, may take action against companies that plan to invest in the construction of export pipelines over five million dollars a year or a million at a time. The law States that the United States will seek to prevent the construction of “Nord stream-2”.
Moscow, without waiting for the signing of the document, decided to respond to Washington’s reduction of U.S. Embassy — will leave the country more than 700 people. In addition, from August 1, the U.S. Embassy is forbidden to use a took and warehouse space on a Traffic street in Moscow.
