The Russians will be allowed to pay for a block of flats on the counter

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed a law allowing to pay for house utilities on a shared counter, according to the website of the President.

The changes will affect the payment of hot and cold water, electricity, consumed in the maintenance of the common property, as well as wastewater. Owners will be able to choose to pay them according to indications at the building counter or on a fixed standard.

The relevant law was adopted by the state Duma and approved by Federation Council in July.

As noted by RIA Novosti, January 1, 2017, the charge for maintenance of the dwelling to include the cost of hot and cold water, wastewater and electricity consumed in the maintenance of community property. Previously, they were included in the cost for utilities.
