Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov, who was killed in Ankara, put a lot of effort to correct the perception of the Crimean region in Turkey. On Tuesday, December 20, said the Vice-Premier of the Crimean government Georgiy Muradov, reports RIA Novosti.
“Andrei Gennadievich Karlov, great attention is paid to the Crimea, including the fact that in Turkey, the Crimea is perceived. He contributed to the development of multilateral relations between our countries”, — Muradov said.
The politician admitted that the Crimea in the person of Charles lost a reliable friend and a great diplomat. He stressed that the Russian Ambassador had acted for the good of Russia.
Muradov added that he, as a diplomat, personally, had worked with Charles for over 35 years.
Earlier on Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the murder of the Russian diplomat has caused Russia especially painful.
62-year-old diplomat was shot dead in Ankara on December 19 during the opening ceremony dedicated to Russia’s exhibition at the Gallery of modern art. He was attacked by a 22-year-old police officer mevlüt MERT Altıntaş, it liquidated soon after the attack.
