Autonomous non-profit organization Creative Economy together with Roskulttsentr held a hackathon to create the concept of the Russian Creative Awards trophy for the Russian Creative Awards trophy with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives in partnership with the Russian Designers Union.

11 teams from four creative universities took part in the competition. Students developed 16 award ideas for the Russian Creative Awards. According to the organizers, the statuette should reflect the modern vision of creative industries in Russia and combine functional and aesthetic characteristics.

The team of the St. Petersburg State Academy of Arts and Industry named after A.L. Stieglitz became the winner: Egor Eliseev, Evgeny Nazarov, Daria Tsvetkova created the project of the award. The figurine has a mirror-like surface.

“Our goal was to create a symbol that would reflect the understanding of creativity as a whole cosmos. The conceptual image is a trophy seed of the new metaverse, symbolizing the continuous professional growth of the winner, allowing him to enter the “new reality” and plant his creative craft on this metaplanet so that it sprouts into life, “said one of the winning team members Yegor Eliseev.

The jury evaluating projects included Director of Creative Economy Elena Grebeneva, General Director of the Federation of Creative Industries Igor Namakonov, President of the Union of Designers of Russia and Vice President of the Agency for Creative Industries Vitaly Stavitsky, industrial designer and head SmirnovDesign Sergey Smirnov.

The award ceremony for the creative industries of Russia will take place in Moscow on December 18 at the Zaryadye Concert Hall.
