The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation completed the investigation of the attempted murder of the head of Ivanovo and sent it to court , accused of attempted murder of the mayor of Ivanovo, which was committed on February 14, 2019. This was reported to “Lente.ru” by the representative of the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) Yulia Veisman.
According to her, the case materials were sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
According to the version investigation, the accused received an offer to kill the head of the city for a fee. The motive for the crime was the hostile attitude of the customer to the mayor. The accused planned the crime, found out the address of the victim, his movements and acquired the instrument of the crime. He found accomplices who were supposed to take him to the place of the attack and the escape route.
On February 14, 2019, the accomplices brought the accused to the house of the Ivanovo mayor. There he attacked the victim with a baseball bat and beat him. The mayor put up active resistance, and the accused disappeared. The victim received a closed craniocerebral injury and other injuries, but survived.
During interrogations, the defendant did not admit his guilt.
The case against the customer and accomplices was separated into a separate proceeding.
