Their & nbsp; names are not & nbsp; listed. If they & nbsp; are found guilty, they & nbsp; face from & nbsp; 10 years in prison to & nbsp; life.
The Bulgarian prosecutor's office claims that the organizer of the spy conspiracy was an ex-employee of the Military Intelligence Service. According to the & nbsp; version of the investigation, he & nbsp; “ graduated from the Moscow intelligence school of the GRU. '' He was allegedly instructed to & nbsp; return to & nbsp; Bulgaria & quot; recruit a network of agents with access to & nbsp; secret documents related to & nbsp; NATO and & nbsp; the European Union. His wife, who & nbsp; who has dual Bulgarian-Russian citizenship, handed over documents to the & nbsp; Russian embassy in & nbsp; Bulgaria, the prosecution claims.
All six were arrested in & nbsp; March. One of them was released on bail. The start date of the court hearings has not yet been & nbsp; selected. In the & nbsp; case of conviction, the defendants face up to & nbsp; 10 years in prison.
In & nbsp; October, Bulgarian police detained a Russian and & nbsp; two Lithuanian citizens on & nbsp; suspicion of industrial espionage. They worked under an & nbsp; employment contract at a & nbsp; factory that was engaged in innovative technologies, and & nbsp; allegedly stole products and & nbsp; related confidential documentation from the & nbsp; enterprise. All three were arrested.
