Defense Minister of Belarus: the situation on the border resembles the beginning of the Great Patriotic War 
Defense Minister of Belarus Viktor Khrenin said reminds him of the events before the start of the Great Patriotic War. His words in an interview with the Al-Jazeera TV channel are quoted by TASS.
Thus, he compared the current build-up of NATO forces with the beginning of the war. “I’m afraid if the same is happening now. Are we at some stage of a certain preparation of a hot moment, “he added, noting that in this situation it is very difficult to predict how events might develop.
Khrenin also named an increase in the number of Polish troops near the border a set of measures to prepare for war. He expressed his wariness and concern about this, as well as a lack of understanding of such actions.
On November 19, it was reported that the British military arrived at the Polish-Belarusian border as part of the NATO Forward Expanded Presence program to assist the Polish Armed Forces in the fight against migration crisis.
Earlier, the Minister of National Defense of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak said that Warsaw has increased the number of military personnel operating on the border with Belarus to 15 thousand people.
