Representative of the Polish border guard Michalskaya: the storming of the border by migrants is expected at night on the air of Polish television, the official representative of the border guard Anna Mikhalskaya, her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“We expect that it will come to forcing – an attempt to cross the border. We can expect this night to be hot, ”she stressed.
Mikhalskaya noted that at present migrants are behaving calmly, they are not trying to cross the border, pitched tents and lit fires on the Belarusian side.
The representative of the border guard added that Poland has concentrated its forces in the border zone, the department is supported by the police and soldiers, the situation is expected to develop.
The migration crisis on the border of Belarus and the European Union began at the end of May. Large groups of illegal migrants from Africa and the Middle East began to storm the borders of Lithuania, Poland and Latvia in the hope of obtaining asylum in the European Union.
On November 8, several thousand people approached Poland from the Belarusian side. Migrants do not leave the border zone, some have tried to enter Poland by breaking the barbed wire fence.
