Version special arson are studied as in the case of large-scale fire in Rostov-on-don, and in the case of fires in the Volgograd region, said the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
Putin on the eve late in the evening after a working visit to Hungary arrived in Anapa, where he held a meeting with the head of the emergencies Ministry and heads of the Volgograd and Rostov regions affected by the recent fires.
“The fires have affected a large number of settlements, which are home to 600 thousand people. This is a serious matter. In the first and in the second case, there are victims, and dead, unfortunately. As the Minister was reported (Minister of emergency situations Vladimir Puchkov, EDS.), unfortunately, we have to check the version of the special arson and that, in another case,” — said Putin at the meeting, which was broadcast on the TV channel “Russia 24”.
“I would like your assessment to hear today how there are works on liquidation of fires, and second, I would like to hear the Minister and regional leaders, what is being done to assist the people,” the President said to the meeting participants.
The situation with wildfires in Volgograd region sharply escalated on August 23, at the same time in the region was introduced a state of emergency. During the day all the fires had been contained or eliminated. But on Friday, the situation deteriorated again, August 25 in the region has occurred four fires wildfires in three municipalities.
A major fire occurred a week ago in private houses in the centre of Rostov-on-don. The fire damaged about 120 buildings. For medical assistance to 58 people, nine were hospitalized.
