The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia commented on the decision of the authorities of Estonia to refuse without explanation the journalists MIA “Russia today” in light of the informal meeting of foreign Ministers of the EU on 7 and 8 September.

“Blatant discrimination is one of the largest news agencies once again shows what are the hypocritical statements of the authorities of Estonia on the commitment to freedom of expression and access to information. Regardless of whether this decision by initiative of the Estonian presidency or agreed with EU Brussels, prohibitions of Tallinn in any case undermined the credibility of the European Union”, — stated in the message text.

The Department also urged to pay special attention to the situation of the relevant international structures.
