MOSCOW, 30 Jul — RIA Novosti. Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the post office, the press service of the Kremlin has received a letter from trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen about the construction of a Moscow skyscraper.
The Washington Post has previously reported that Cohen in January 2016, wrote an email to the press Secretary of Russian President Peskov on the subject of construction in Moscow “of trump Tower” — so often called skyscrapers, which builds the company of the President of the United States. According to the newspaper, Cohen asked for help in the organization of the project, but received no response. Company trump refused to build a skyscraper in two weeks after Cohen wrote a letter. The newspaper did not say why Cohen decided that the Sands is somehow involved in construction business.
According to Peskov, the official email address of the press service of the presidential administration receives a huge number, thousands of different cases. “A treatment related to activities of the President, and we will promptly try to answer them — explaining, refuting, affirming, providing information — visual and otherwise sent to the relevant agencies,” — said Peskov reporters.
However, according to him, come and dealing with issues that do not fall within the competence of the press service of the Kremlin, for example, associated with the judicial system, law enforcement agencies, innovative projects and business.
“I confirm that we are among the total volume of mails and this came from Mr. Michael Cohen. It really was. In this appeal it was said that a certain Russian company with certain entities aimed at the creation in Moscow city, this skyscraper, but things are not going and they ask (help) with some recommendation and with the advancement of this case”, — said Peskov.
“But since, I repeat, we do not respond to these business themes, it is not our job, we left this unanswered. Some repeat calls, and we must, and again, did not answer, because it’s not our job,” he added.
“This e-mail was, we found a copy,” he said. Peskov also said that this topic was not discussed with the President of Russia. “We can’t discuss with Putin the hundreds and thousands of different requests that come from different countries,” he explained.
