The US President Donald trump said that he believes in the improvement of relations between Washington and Moscow. He stated this at a press conference following the meeting with President of Finland Sauli Niinistö, reports Reuters.
“It would be nice if we had good relations with Russia, at least, a good relationship. I guess it will happen sooner or later. We should get along with a large nuclear country,” he said.
While trump refused to answer a direct question of the journalist whether he considered Russia a threat to US security. “I consider this aspect a lot of countries,” evasively said the head of the White house.
2 Aug trump has signed the law on new anti-Russian sanctions that Congress passed in late July. The document envisages a number of restrictions that relate to funding opportunities for banks and oil companies. The Russian foreign Ministry suggested Washington until September 1 to reduce the total number of personnel of the diplomatic mission in the country to 755.
August 23 Washington has stopped issuing nonimmigrant visas throughout Russia. This procedure will resume September 1, but only in Moscow. Such measures, the United States explained the intention of the Russian authorities to reduce staff of the American diplomatic missions in the country.
