Saakashvili suspected Ukrainian “huckster” in collusion with the Georgian authorities

The former Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili said about the collusion of Ukrainian and Georgian authorities are preparing to charge him with plotting a coup in Georgia. About this he wrote in his Facebook.

“The Georgian authorities in full coordination with the huckster in Ukraine prepare me a new charge — preparation of the coup in Georgia”, — Saakashvili wrote.

According to him, Tbilisi and Kiev made a promise to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to nominate him until September 10.

Saakashvili said that Poroshenko and the General Prosecutor of Ukraine with the necessary legal grounds for his detention after crossing the Ukrainian border. “The coup attempt — it is a purely political article that is so ludicrous that no one will doubt in fabrication of all cases, but for drug dealers, apparently, all means are good”, — the politician wrote.

August 21, Saakashvili said that a few European countries ready to grant him his citizenship, but he refused and is going back to Ukraine. “As you know, I decided to head back on 10 September in Ukraine. See you at the Polish-Ukrainian border”, — he said.

July 26, Saakashvili was deprived of Ukrainian citizenship. The country’s leadership explained that the incorrect information in the questionnaire (politician silent about the criminal case against him in Georgia). At that time, the former Governor of the Odessa region was in the US. Border service of Ukraine has stated that it will not be allowed back into the country and trying to get back will take the passport.

Saakashvili was the head of Odessa oblast from may 2015 to November 2016 and resigned at own will left a post of the adviser of the President. From 2004 to 2013 he held the post of President of Georgia, after which he was stripped of his citizenship and brought against him several criminal cases, including the embezzlement of public funds. Saakashvili also announced an internal investigation.
