Putin meets with Armenian President

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the President Serzh Sargsyan noted the improvement of relations between the two countries. About it reports “Interfax”.

“This year we are celebrating the good date within the framework of our cooperation, 25 years was the establishment of diplomatic relations in a few days — August 29 — will be 20 years since the signing of our key Treaty on friendship, strategic cooperation”, — said Putin.

The President of Russia noted that over time “the relationship between Russia and Armenia seriously strengthened”.

“We have intensively supported political dialogue, cooperation is on a bilateral basis and in the sphere of economy and security, military Affairs. We are actively cooperating within international organizations and integration associations,” Putin said, proposing to discuss these issues.

Sargsyan noted that he is glad once again to meet with the President of Russia, citing foreign-policy coordination between countries and for the constructive cooperation in international and regional arenas.

The President of Armenia also thanked Putin for assistance in extinguishing forest fires.

Earlier, Putin met with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu.
