Earlier on Monday from the U.S. Embassy in Russia announced the suspension of non-immigrant visa throughout the country from August 23. The paperwork will be resumed in a reduced volume from September 1 to: to obtain a visa will be possible only in Moscow. The Embassy in the Russian capital and the Consulate in St. Petersburg has canceled accepting applications from Belarusian citizens (to apply for a visa they will be able at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw, Kiev and Vilnius), notes “Interfax”.

Appropriate action was taken in response to the decision of the Russian authorities to reduce the number of personnel of diplomatic missions of the USA. In late July, Moscow has demanded to reduce to 455 people total number of employees in the American missions.

Nonimmigrant visas allow temporary stay in the territory of the United States. In this document, in particular, includes a visa for tourist, business and educational trips.
