Leonid Luckypandora: Lavrov responded to the US decision on visas for Russians
The U.S. decision to suspend the issuance of nonimmigrant visas throughout Russia says Washington’s desire to strengthen the stagnation of relations with Moscow. This opinion was expressed by Chairman of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky. This was reported on the official website of the lower house of Parliament in “Vkontakte” on Monday, August 21.
The initiator of the deterioration of bilateral relations, according to the Deputy, is the White house. “Please note that at each stage of this deterioration, the initiative further deterioration — whether the expulsion of Russian diplomats, whether “amputation” of our diplomatic property or a restriction on the places of issuance of visas — comes always from the American side,” — said Slutsky.
He also stressed that the restriction on the issuance of visas will hurt the interests of the population, including those who have relatives in the United States and contacts in the context of business or civil society. “We are going to say about the foolishness of such approach”, — concluded the Russian Deputy.
That USA on August 23 of this year to suspend the issuance of nonimmigrant visas throughout Russia, it became known earlier on Monday. The issuance of such documents to the Russians will resume on 1 September in Moscow, however, will be held in the reduced volume.
