On a pedestrian street Las Ramblas in Barcelona, the van ran into a large crowd. It is reported by La Vanguardia.
Police sources reported that injured several people. Law enforcement officers cordoned off the scene. The owners of cafes and shops ordered to close outlets. For security purposes, in the area of the incident closed the metro station.
El Pais reports that the driver of the van fled the scene. Police officers are taking measures to search and detention. According to the newspaper, official sources do not confirm that the attack took place.
19 December 2016 the Christmas market in Central Berlin, the truck rammed the crowd. 12 people were killed, another 48 injured. Authorities declared the incident a terrorist attack, on suspicion of his performance was a wanted 24-year-old Tunisian Anis Amri, sitting behind the wheel of the truck. Later during a shootout with police in Italy, he was killed.
