The General Director of “Gosznak” Arkady Trachuk said that Russia can receive the passport and the rights that will be established chip with biometric data and the electronic signature of the owner, according to Interfax.
According to him, the work on introduction of new documents coming in 2015.
“The document can be used for remote authentication and actually allows a person to confirm their identity by providing, for example, financial services”, — said General Director of “Gosznak”.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian interior Ministry has begun to develop amendments to the legislation that will reduce the time of registration and issuance of citizens of passports.
