MOSCOW, 17 Aug — RIA Novosti. The government of Catalonia confirmed the death of 13 people in the attack in Barcelona, and about 50 were injured, said Advisor to the interior of Catalonia, Joaquim Forn.

On Thursday afternoon, a van drove into a crowd of people in the tourist center of Barcelona — near Las Ramblas.
Police previously called the incident a terrorist attack. The area is cordoned off, closed down the station and shops.
Earlier, the authorities officially confirmed the death of one person.
