Pentagon: missile and nuclear program of the DPRK threaten Russia, China and the United States
WASHINGTON, August 16. /TASS/. The Chairman of the joint chiefs of staff of the Armed forces, U.S. General Joseph Dunford, who is in China on an official visit, said that the missile and nuclear program of the DPRK is threatening the world community, including Russia, China and the United States.
This was announced on Wednesday the official representative of the Committee captain Darrin James.
“General Dunford has made clear that the missile and nuclear programs of North Korea threatening the world community, including China, Russia, the United States and our allies. He stressed that the US and China set themselves the same goal — the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula by peaceful means”, — said the representative of the armed forces of the United States.
According to Dunford, Pyongyang’s actions “threaten the economic and military security” of Beijing. General again called on China “to increase pressure on the North Korean regime.” He once again pointed to “America’s commitment to use the full range of military capabilities to protect its allies in the Republic of Korea and Japan, as well as its own territory” if “preferred a peaceful diplomatic and economic options fail”.
