The scientists explained why expensive wine tastes better
Because of the high prices people expect chocolate and wine are delicious. Scientists have found that this affects relevant areas of perception in the brain.
The study was published in the journal Scientific Reports.
Due to differences in the price people can find the same quality products are totally different. This phenomenon is called “marketing placebo effect”. As in the case of drug-dummies, the effect is not associated with the real properties, and those are only attributed to the product.
In the course of work, the researchers compared the difference in price affects the corresponding sensation in the brain, even if the wine that was drunk by the respondents, it was tasteless. The experiment involved 15 men and 15 women, whose average age was 30 years.
