Moscow state University entered the hundred best universities in the world by ARWU-2017

The University is ranked 93 place, down six places compared to last year.

TASS, August 15. MSU M. V. Lomonosov took place in 93 published Tuesday by the international University rankings Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2017 prepared by the Center for the study of world-class universities at the Academy of higher education Shanghai Jiaotong University.

In comparison with the last year Moscow University dropped six spots.

In the top 500 released the rankings last year included two Russian universities: St. Petersburg state University and Novosibirsk state University. The first entered again in the 301-400 group, the second — in 401-500. While the Novosibirsk University has improved its performance. In the top 800 of the international rankings and MIPT (group 501-600).

The top five universities in the world included four American universities (Harvard, Stanford and mit universities and the University of California at Berkeley) and one British (University of Cambridge).
