Over the last 11 years the number of children hospitalized in France due to accidental poisoning from marijuana, increased by 133 percent. About it reports CNN with reference to a scientific study published in the journal Pediatrics.
The researchers determined this rate by analyzing the hospitalizations of children younger than six years, from 2004 to 2014.
They also have established treatment to doctors due to unintentional ingestion by children of marijuana — when parents leave weeds unattended increased by 312 percent. The reason for such dynamics experts call increased the amount of psychoactive THC in marijuana.
The symptoms of cannabis poisoning — drowsiness, shortness of breath, convulsions and even coma. According to the survey, among European countries France has the highest consumption of cannabis, although it is banned in the country.
