The Ministry of internal Affairs of the Russian Federation is developing amendments to the legislation, which would change the waiting period of the passport. Notice about the early development published on the Federal portal of projects of normative legal acts.
The interior Ministry said that the timing of registration of passports currently too tight, they should be reduced.
Earlier, the interior Ministry received a corresponding order from the government of the Russian Federation.
How quickly every Russian will be able to get a passport, is still unknown. The amendments are under discussion.
Under the current rules, a passport is issued for a period up to 4 months. In the presence of a number of circumstances that compel the citizen to quickly travel abroad, the period of registration of the passport does not exceed 3 days.
